[ISTRT-P3] the observer magazine sums it up

podcast — roman david on September 9, 2008 at 9:09 pm

As you can see, I still have time on my hands. Me and my friend Marcus are back armed with alcohol and beers and musics. Ninety or so minutes, probably offensive to somebody and so forth. Be sure to listen out for the lineup for my upcoming New Cross Inn extravaganza - Monday 3rd November, with music from The Wankys, Mob Rules and Dethscalator with hopefully more to be announced. Hit last.fm or Facebook for more.

Playlist? Right this way, sir…

[ISTRT-P2] put a donk on it

podcast — roman david on August 2, 2008 at 11:38 pm

This is a bit of a cop out, to be honest - this one is lacking in banter entirely. Instead, have a mixtape that illustrates the kind of material that has soundtracked my gradual and inevitable decline. You could probably stick it on an actual cassette; it’d be nice to see people playing and enjoying tapes instead of wearing them as jewelery on Snog, Marry, Avoid? while a computer tells you that you’re a slag, so be my guest!

Podcast #3 might come in a few weeks - if you’re my friend and want to bring some musics and words (preferably alcohol too) then give me an encouraging slap in the face. My friend Marcus from the first one is rustling up a ‘zine that will focus on mixtapes he and I have made, alongside some other stuff. Whinging, mainly. Do you want in? Of course you do. Throw us some words and some pictures, please!

A Facebook group is fine too. Might even be used sometime! Have a playlist….

[ISTRT-P1] riding the wave of bullshit

podcast — roman david on July 1, 2008 at 12:00 am

Here we go. If you had the misfortune to listen to any of my shows on Wired (Goldsmiths’ radio station of sorts), then you’ll know that I’m more suited with a keyboard than with my own voice. Nevertheless, thanks to a few hours of GarageBand tomfoolery and several cans of Nisa Today’s finest (for £5.50) I present the first of hopefully a series of copyright-breaching, banter-filled monstrosities that totally hasn’t been inspired by certain other blogs HONESTLY. Seriously, there’s about six tracks/bands here that featured on the excellent Soft Skeleton podcast, which is inevitably better in at least seven ways, not least introducing me to Brainbombs and the malaise that sets in when you listen to them for more than ten minutes.

With me is my friend Marcus; if you know me you’ll know him as Manchester or someone who talks about fighting quite a bit. And there you have it: two hours of lovely stuff seperated by embarrasing chatter.Material you might find rather offensive alongside material you may consider not offensive enough. Oh, and I had a cold so I’m more unintelligible than ever.

Hate mail please. Also, if you want a playlist with links to find most of these tracks, click here.
